British skier Andrea Marshall has died in a horror avalanche in Argentina after being buried in snow for hours, according to reports.
The 32-year-old was skiing off-piste in the Andes mountains when she was caught in the avalanche on Saturday.
She was buried in snow for several hours before being rescued by mountain rescuers.
Marshall was an experienced skier
Marshall was an experienced skier and had been living in Argentina for several years.
She was a member of the British Ski Mountaineering Team and had competed in several international competitions.
Her death has been met with shock and sadness by the skiing community.
The British Ski Mountaineering Team said in a statement: "We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic death of Andrea Marshall.
"Andrea was a talented skier and a wonderful person. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her."
